Free collections workshops for museums, libraries and archives Bowman, N.D. – Pioneer Trails Regional Museum is hosting a three-day collections care workshop June 27-29 in Bowman. Staff and volunteers from all area museums, libraries and archives are invited to register for the free hands-on workshops sponsored by the Dakota Collections Care Initiative (DCCI). The workshop will focus on how to properly care for a variety of collections, such as textiles, books, art, furniture and photographs. Participants will learn how to properly document collections, protect collections from damage while on exhibit and keep collections secure. The workshop will also feature special sessions on exhibits planning, along with care of collections on exhibit (textiles and costume mannequins/mounts).
