Dig into Paleontology

The Pioneer Trails Regional Museum is hosting Paleontology Site Tours this summer. 

Come join our museum personnel as we visit fossil bearing sites that range from 32 to 72 million years old! Learn about the ancient environments in which these plants and animals lived. Get a first hand look at what the field of Paleontology is all about. You will be allowed time for supervised collecting for the museum.  While personal collection is not permitted, videos and pictures are encouraged.

Tours:

Monday – Friday
8:30 am – 4:30 pm

*You must register and pay at least 24 hours before tour date*

$100/person
6 and under are FREE

Tours meet in the back parking lot of the museum around 8:30 am on your scheduled day.

You Need:

  • Transportation to the site
  • Appropriate attire and protective gear
  • Water, snacks, and lunch (can be purchased in town)
  • Adult supervisor for children under 18
