Position Title: Paleontology Manager & Curator

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

·        Curate and manage the paleontology collection of Pioneer Trails Regional Museum

·         Manage fieldwork and collecting.

·         Lead, train, and supervise department staff and volunteers.

·         Develop paleontology exhibits and programs.

·         Participate in public outreach activities.

·         Develop and write grant proposals.

·         Manage PTRM’s prep lab.

·         Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

·         Masters in Geosciences, Biology, Paleontology, or related field.

·         Experience working with the public, managing collections, field research, and fossil prep.

·         Knowledge of professional museum standards in collections management including development and implementation of collections policies and procedures.

Compensation:

Full Time – 40 hrs/week

$35,000 – $50,000 based on experience.

Stipend for health insurance.

Vacation/Sick leave and Paid holidays.

Relocation and/or tuition reimbursement programs available.
